Welcome to DA. Your forum post said you wanted to know wether to give up on photography or go back to traditional art. Do what you want to do and what makes you happy. Not what makes other people happy.

Let me rephrase that, I'll never tell someone to stop doing a certain type of art based on their level of skill (and I really can't give too much of a critique on photography as I don't know much about it) unless their only desire was to accumulate pageviews. So, do you enjoy photography? If so, keep at it.
